The Zombie Queen!

Say hello to the Zombie Queen!  She looks pretty serious.

This character was one of the first I ever drew for this series.  I really wanted to incorporate in some capacity the voodoo aspect of zombies, I just didn’t know how to get there at the time.  Like most of the characters in TLZ she has gone through numerous redesigns.  She is quite different for the story in terms of not only design but character as well.  I hope you like her (well we shall see about that) and her zombie horde.

Halloween Day 12: Tales From the Crypt

Tales from the Crypt, at least the TV show probably makes up a good majority of my earlier horror memories. I have very specific memories of sneaking to watch it on HBO after my father had sent us to bed so he could watch Elvira alone. WHat struck me as a child about it was of course the over the top violence but also the sense of humor about it. I had never seen something so violent and horrific played for laughs.
